1. PUBLIC SERVICE MANAGEMENT AND ADMINSTRATION
Over the last financial years the Department has made key achievements which include the following

• Development of Sectoral Strategic Plan 2014-2017,
• Development of various policies e.g. County Fleet
Management Policy and the Citizen Participation Policy
• Construction of ward and sub-counties offices across the county
• Facilitation of staff training in various cadres e.g. offering induction to new employees, offering performance management trainings and organizing efficient and effective service delivery initiatives
• Renovation of Public Service Management offices both at the Headquarters and at the Sub-County levels.
• Coordination and supervision of the newly established devolved units
• General administration and internal resource mobilization
and undertaking Capacity Assessment and Rationalization of the Public Service programmes.
Future plans
The Department intends to implement various key activities to realize its mandate. These include the following:
• Development of various personnel policies such as Training Management Development policy, Occupational Safety and Health policy, Work Injury Benefits policy and Ethics and Anti-Corruption policy
• Establishment of village administrative structures,
• Introduction of Biometric Attendance register,
• Paramilitary training of administrative officers and enforcement team
• Constructions of 10 ward offices,
• Ensuring that each county employee acquires a minimum of 5 days training
• Securing medical insurance cover for all county employees,
• Securing Group Personal Accidents Cover for all county employees
• Mainstreaming Gender and PWD’s issues in the departmental activities and programmes
• Installation of motor vehicle tracking devices for all the County government vehicle
